It's like putting a murder suspect in charge of cleaning up his own crime scene. Sure, keep them in charge of shutting the sucker down. But absolutely under no circumstances should anyone from BP even be allowed to participate whatsoever in cleanup other than to sign the checks. As in...ALL THE CHECKS. Well said, well said.
